This series acts as an introduction to 3625ICT 3D Games Development as well as providing supplementary course content such as Unity's Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality SDKs. In this first workshop, we'll be looking at getting familiar with the Unity game engine, creating your first game from a first person perspective and then creating a basic level. Why: Griffith University School of ICT is hosting a catchup event for first year students to help you adjust to your new university lifestyle. After your first two weeks of university, you probably have a tonne of questions about your degree, where to get the best burgers, best student deals and any other event and groups you want to know more about. Members of staff from the School of ICT will be present to answer questions and a few student clubs, including Griffith Innovate, will be there to showcase what we do and so that you can sign up if you're interested as well. Come along if you have questions nobody seems to know the answer to or if you want to meet your other faculty staff and clubs. If that's not enough, there's also FREE PIZZA.
Hello, everyone! We will be holding our final Machine Learning Workshop next Friday, the 1st of November from 4pm - 6pm! We will be giving our prizes based on how you've classified or built a neural network using your chosen data set! We'll also have Diego Peinado, Chief Financial Officer of MedicSen attending to help judge everyone's projects!
What is Griffith Innovate? What do they do? What are the benfits of joining? After our first set of workshops, we've been busy reaching out to high schools, industries and friends while designing our next set of workshops for machine learning. In between all this, we've had a bit of a chance to have a look and reflect on what we've done and our goals and things are about to get exciting!
